WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS

We provide pH adjustment chemicals and nutrients with expertise with both the industrial and municipal sectors, with local stocks. We operate with both wastewater treatment plants and water production.

In addition, we have strong experience in the circular economy. For example, we supply glycerol blend, a by-product of IFF’s betaine production, which is an environmentally friendly and easy-to-use carbon source for biological wastewater treatment plants.

CHEMICALS FOR WATER PRODUCTION AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT

The range of water treatment chemicals offered by Berner Industries includes products for both municipal and industrial water supply and wastewater treatment needs. Our products include:

sodium hydroxide, i.e. lye in solution and solid pearl lye
sodium carbonate; light soda ash or heavy soda ash
sodium bicarbonate for pH buffering
citric acid
phosphoric acid
regeneration salts/regeneration salts in the form of powders, granules and salt tablets
urea, a nutrient of high nitrogen content

MUNICIPAL WATER TREATMENT

We supply pH adjustment and alkalisation chemicals to dozens of wastewater treatment plants and waterworks. Our largest products in terms of volume are heavy soda ash and light soda ash, of which we supply thousands of tonnes annually. The vast majority of our deliveries are delivered in bulk; directly into the customer’s silo.

In addition to bulk deliveries, we also supply heavy and light soda ash and pearlite in packaged form, in 25 kg bags, fully palletised, or packaged in 1000 kg bulk bags. Safe glycerol suitable as a source of additional carbon for enhancing nitrogen removal in biological water treatment is also available from us.
