The word “Agency” that was in the old name of our business unit for 137 years was a traditional term honouring the memory of how the story of Berner started in 1883. The uninterrupted and reliable availability of our products has long been, and will continue to be, of the utmost importance to our customers operating in a diverse range of industries. We continuously develop our operations according to our customers’ requirements and, as a financially sound part of Berner Group, we have for already a long time procured and imported the products we represent to our own security stocks directly from our principals in Europe, Asia and North America.
Traditional commission agency constitutes only a few per cent of our business operations today and, as a result, it was high time we changed the name of our business unit to reflect what we really are and what we really do. Berner Industries is building a better tomorrow (#huomisenpuolustaja) and we ensure cost-effective access to basic chemicals, animal feed and food raw materials and additives for our customers in Finland and other Nordic countries, for at least the next century.
